The digital world has put many paradigm shifts on organizations including the rise of distributed workforces.  A global pandemic has accelerated and possibly made permanent the distributed workforce.  Influential Leaders are taking the reins with a powerful Growth Mindset and leading across organizations including teams they own and teams they do not, to align the organization to achieve its purpose and goals.  The Influential Leader develops authority through competence and exceptional performance and leads through networks and connections vs hierarchical structure and positional authority.  They are Leaders of Leaders and champions of a growth and opportunities. The three principles of Influential Leadership are:
  1. Engagement

    Influential Leaders build engagement by Solving Problems, Connecting with individuals and teams across the organization, Learning about the organization and Building Up Other People.  By Connecting, Solving Problems, Learning and Building Others Up, Influential Leaders create a following of people aligned to the purpose and goals of the organization.
  2. Performance

    Influential Leaders Perform at an extremely high level, they are Accountable for everything they touch, they are highly Skilled and Intelligent, and they Achieve Results by Encouraging others to perform at a high level.  And while the Influential Leader routinely hits goals, they have a long-term vision for the future of the organization that drives their passion.
  3. Influence

    The authority of the Influential Leader is partially position related but primarily driven by their Character, Vision for the organization, their Empowerment of others their Courage to take risks.  The Influential Leader has a Growth Mindset, seeks Opportunities to further the organization and gives the credit to their team and others.  Confident, not Arrogant.  Their Influence is about achieving a larger future for the organization and bringing others on their journey.
